Traffic Signal Technician/Electrician
Public Works – Traffic Division

Provides for the installation, maintenance, and repair of traffic signals, signal related components and associated electronic equipment. Also responsible for maintaining the electrical infrastructure of all City owed buildings, facilities and grounds. Considerable knowledge of electricity and its applications, the National Electrical Code, and the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices. The ability to see and read plans, specifications and blueprints is necessary. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid Montana Electrician License, and a valid Montana driver’s license. Must possess or obtain within one year an IMSA Traffic Signal Technician Certification and within three years an IMSA Traffic Signal Field Technician Level II Certification. Applicants will be given a written electronics aptitude examination. Position is covered by IBEW Local #233. Wage is $26.06/hour with an additional $2.10 plus 3% of wages contributed to the IBEW pension plan.
