Traffic Signal Technician
The City of Worthington, Ohio is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Traffic Signal Technician in the Department of Service and Engineering. This position performs a variety of tasks involving extensive technical ability in the areas of traffic signals, street lighting, sign installation, and general electrical maintenance. The Traffic Signal Technician performs testing, field and bench repairs; maintains records and documents for traffic signal and street lighting operations and provides related CIP project supervision. Activities also include snow removal, community special events, leaf collection and other departmental tasks as assigned.
Requirements include graduation from a standard high school or equivalent and demonstrated experience in municipal traffic signal maintenance and repair with certification as a Level I Traffic Signal Technician by the International Municipal Signal Association (IMSA). Must obtain Traffic Signal Field Technician Level II by IMSA within twelve months of employment. Must obtain a valid Class A Ohio Commercial Driver’s License with Tanker Endorsement within six months of employment. Must be available for emergency call-outs.
This is a fulltime, classified position with a salary range of $56,787-$71,480 and an excellent benefits package. Application materials are available at Click Here
