This position oversees all operations related to installation, repair and maintenance of traffic signs, pavement markings, and related traffic control devices. This includes assisting/coordinating in
the development and institution of the county wide sign and pavement marking inventory control and preventative maintenance program, implementing sign retroreflectivity compliance plan procedures and training employees in the use of specialized computer programs and electronic data collection equipment;ensuring compliance with Federal, State and local regulations and standards along with departmental policies, rules and guidelines.

High school graduate/equivalent. Minimum four years’ experience with sign installation, fabrication, pavement marking and striping and two years’ lead or supervisory experience. IMSA and/or ATSSA Level III Signs and Markings Certificate. Valid Florida Commercial Driver's License (Class B) required.

Knowledge of the provisions of the manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices, hazards/safety precautions required to work in traffic, including establishing safe work zones on roadways and intersections and operating hand and power equipment safely.  Analytical and problem solving skills; strong time management and multitasking abilities. Skill in computer operations and pertinent software applications, i.e., MS Word and Excel and including traffic sign related software such as, Traffic CAD and ESRI GIS related software. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
