Flagging Level IThe most important responsibility of a flagger is the safety of his/her fellow workers, the motorist, and him/herself. The Level I Flagging manual is designed to enhance the knowledge of the flagger to promote safety in the work zone. A skilled flagger helps reduce problems in a potentially hazardous situation. The benefits of proper flagging methods are: less confusion for the motoring public, fewer accidents, less injury to workers and the public and reduced claims from accidents.
