IMSA Frequency Coordination Fees

Fire / EMS Radio Service announces a new frequency coordination service fee schedule effective September 1, 2001. (Updated 7/29/2009) (Updated 10/18/2009)

The Federal Communications Commission has enacted several changes in the licensing process for applications in the public safety radio service bands. As a result we have had a significant increase in the steps and time required to complete the coordination of applications.

The International Municipal Signal Association and the International Association of Fire Chiefs are non-profit associations certified by the FCC to provide frequency coordination services to governmental and related agencies. Both are dedicated to providing quality service at the lowest possible cost. The fees you pay support the operation of our coordination office, the data processing and network costs of online operation, the maintenance of databases and our ongoing involvement with the regulatory functions of government in assuring adequate spectrum for your present and future use.

The fee schedule below represents our estimate of the minimum increases necessary at this time to provide you with the quality service you have come to expect.

Applicants are assessed fees for frequency coordination to cover the cost incurred in support of the licensing process.
