SIGNAL LIGHT TECHNICIAN
Salary: $3,134.23 - $3,809.68/mo

Under general supervision to perform a wide variety of activities related to the preventative maintenance and minor repairs of traffic controllers and lights; inspects electrical work on traffic signals; assists with setting timing of traffic signals; and perform related work as required.  May provide technical or functional supervision of lower-level professional positions. 

License/Certificates: Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid CA driver’s license by date of appointment, with ability to obtain a Class “A” driver’s license within twelve months of appointment; possession of, or ability to obtain, an International Municipal Signal Association (IMSA) Level I Technician Certificate within eighteen months of appointment; possession of, or ability to obtain, a Work Zone Traffic Control Safety Certificate by the Department of Transportation within eighteen months of appointment;  and a Level II IMSA Certificate is desirable. 

Education: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth (12^th) grade and two (2) years responsible experience in traffic signal or electronic maintenance activities. 

Salary: $3,134.23 - $3,809.68/mo + benefits, includes CalPERS 2.7% @ 55 retirement plan.
