TRAFFIC SIGNAL TECHNICIAN
$3152.93 - $4893.20 per month

The City of Lakeland is seeking a qualified Traffic Signal Technician to join the Public Works Traffic
Division. This is a highly technical position in the installation, maintenance and repair of Advanced
Transportation Management Systems (ATMS). An employee in this classification is responsible for
maintenance and performance of the network operations of the ATMS system. Employee is required to
be available for paid standby and during emergency call-outs employee must use independent judgment
and initiative.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Must obtain an IMSA Level II Traffic Signal Technician certification within one (1) year after
meeting IMSA requirements.
2. Must possess a valid State of Florida driver’s license.
3. Must have a clean driving record.
4. Must obtain and maintain a State of Florida MOT Certification.
