Field Engineer Opportunity

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support
• Arrange for demonstrations or trial installations of equipment
• Confer with customers and engineers (pre- and post-sales)
• Plan and modify product configurations to meet customer needs
• Project manage trial and full system implementation
• Liaise with contractors and engineering team to assure successful implementation completion
• Troubleshoot problems and assure resolution
• Travel domestically 20 – 50% of the time (to customer sites, vendor facilities, and field sales offices)

Qualifications:

• BS in Engineering
• At least one year of experience in a customer support environment
• Advanced knowledge of configuring IP systems
• Experience with Linux
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Professional demeanor and attitude
• Experience working in a team-based project environment, but also able to work independently
• Additional desired experience: development of software products or systems related to the traffic/ transportation industry or traffic engineering experience with a familiarity with the traffic industry
