Job OpportunityEMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY Road Safety Initiatives Analyst Competition # 11208
The Road Safety Initiatives Analyst, Department of Engineering, Traffic Division, reports directly to the Supervisor, Traffic and Parking. This position is responsible for all aspects of the City’s collision database and traffic counting program as follows.

QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Must have a diploma of Transportation Engineering Technology from a recognized educational institution and be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Association of Engineering Technologists and Technicians of Newfoundland and Labrador.
Experience: Five (5) years experience in a traffic operations environment, and experience with the management of a collision database system.
Other: Excellent oral and written communications skills, the ability to work effectively in a team environment, and a strong knowledge of personal computers and standard software applications. Valid Driver’s License required.
COMPENSATION The rate of pay for this position is set at $33.36 per hour, 9:00 am – 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday. Applicants should be prepared to join the Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 1289, immediately upon appointment.
