Senior Field Technician

Job Description:

TransCore is seeking qualified candidates with 3-5 years of technical installation, integration, maintenance, repair and diagnostics experience with traffic signal controllers, cabinets (NEMA, 332, 336, etc), intersection devices and communication networks.   The candidate must have an IMSA Traffic Signal Field Technician Level III certification.  Experience with preemption systems and integrating video detection systems is preferred. 

The candidate should also have a basic understanding of serial communications and Ethernet networking.  Experience with wireless and fiber optic communications is preferred, including fiber optic splicing, installing, maintenance, and troubleshooting. 

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and highly motivated to lead an independent field crew, with knowledge of field investigation and reporting techniques, able to interface directly with clients, and possess critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.

Other Desired Skills:

Journeyman or Master Electrician’s license.

Commercial Drivers License (CDL).

Electronics, electrical circuits, computers and/or telecommunications background.
