President George Baureko welcomes Toby Cummings to the International Office

Toby Cummings Graduated with a B.S. in Education from Missouri Western State College (MWSC) in 1991, and was employed at San Juan College in Farmington, New Mexico for three years in the Student Services Field as well as the Director of Jazz Studies in 1993-94. While employed with San Juan College Mr. Cummings was also on the regional steering committee for the National Association of Campus Activities (NACA).Toby returned to MWSC as the Director of Special Programs under the Adult Education Division in 1994. During this time he also worked toward the completion of his M.S. in Adult Education from Kansas State University. Mr. Cummings spent the next three years working in the adult education field and serving as staff coordinator for various adult education associations. These included the National University Continuing Education Association (NUCEA), the Association of Conference and Events Directors International (ACEDI), and the Missouri Association of Adult and Continuing Education (MAACE).In 1997, Toby began his association management career as President/CEO of the Associated Builders and Contractors of the Western Colorado chapter located in Grand Junction, Colorado. In October of 2003, Mr. Cummings accepted a position as the President/CEO of ABC North Texas. He worked the chapter through a member value restructuring which has produced numerous positive results and awards in a variety of ABC and other Association related recognition. While in Texas, Mr. Cummings also earned the designation as a Certified Association Executive (CAE). Mr. Cummings was also very active in the Dallas Fort Worth Association Executives (DFWAE) serving as their Chair Elect as well as an instructor for the Certified Association Executive (CAE) study groups in the Dallas Fort Worth Area. In July of 2008 Toby relocated to Livermore California to run the Northern California operation for ABC.In May 2014, Mr. Cummings returned to the higher education student affairs arena as the Executive Director of the National Association for Campus Activities. His time there focused on leadership and volunteer development of millennial aged board and committee leaders.As of June 2019 Toby will be leading the International Municipal Signal Association
