Traffic Signal Supervisor
City of Olathe, Kansas 

Salary:  $29.03 - $36.29 Hourly

The City of Olathe is actively seeking a Traffic Signal Supervisor to join the Public Works Department.  As a Traffic Signal Supervisor, you will plan, organize, and supervise the activities of staff involved in traffic signal operations and maintenance.  Overseeing and participating in the installation, maintenance, and repair of signalized intersections, and intelligent transportation systems (ITS); assists with the review of signal plans, ensures compliance to city policies, procedures and specifications; provides oversight for all construction activities including inspection services; maintains records of maintenance and replacement of traffic signal control parts and equipment.

Experience: 5 years of electronics experience in traffic signal operation, including 3 year of supervisory experience required.
Education: Associate's degree with major course work in electronic technology or a related field required.
Licenses and Certificates: Possession of an International Municipal Sign Association (IMSA) Level III Traffic Technician certificate and Work Zone certification, or acquisition of certification within first 12 months of employment. Valid driver’s license.
