The Traffic Signal Technician performs skilled electronic work to install, maintain and repair traffic signals and lighting. It is distinguished from other electrical/electronic technician classifications by the requirement to maintain, test, troubleshoot, and repair traffic signal equipment and systems using specialized knowledge and skill. 

Requirements:

Experience and Training Guidelines - Any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform the job. 

Experience:
Two years of licensed (at least at the LME level) traffic signal maintenance experience which included electronic troubleshooting and repair.

Training:
Specialized training in electronics theory and troubleshooting; an Associate’s Degree in electronics or equivalent is desirable.

License or Certificate:
State of Oregon Limited Maintenance Electrician (LME) License.

Possession of a Limited Manufacturing Plant Journeyman License (PJ) or General Journeyman Electrician Li(J) will be considered.
