Traffic Signal Technician
SALARY $58,032.00 - $91,811.20 Annually
The Transportation Department has an exciting opportunity for a Traffic Signal Technician! The incumbent will perform a variety of traffic signal maintenance and electrical work in support the Highway Operations Division by identifying, correcting, maintaining, and repairing traffic signal systems and highway lighting. This responsibility includes checking, servicing, repairing, troubleshooting and installing controllers and other components for traffic signals to ensure proper operation, and may require work in a group setting with a work crew or independently. The incumbent will also be responsible for producing and maintaining daily records related to installation and service work that is performed. The Department highly desires candidates with comparable experience servicing traffic signal systems in the field. The incumbent will work a 4/10 schedule with overtime as needed, and will operate out of the Riverside Transportation Department yard.
Experience: One year of experience in traffic signal systems maintenance.
License: Possession of a valid Class C California Driver's License is required at time of employment. Candidates must have the ability to obtain a non-restricted Class A or a Class B Commercial Driver's License within four months of hire.
