This is a skilled journeyman-level work in the maintenance, assembly, repair, modification and installation of electro-mechanical and solid-state traffic signal mechanisms.
Duties and Responsibilities
This person performs difficult and skilled electronic and electrical signal installation, overhaul, maintenance, and repair. The person will also perform a variety of peripheral maintenance and repair work involving electrical wiring equipment in City buildings and facilities.
Work is performed with considerable independence under general supervision. Work is reviewed in terms of results accomplished. The direct supervisor is the Traffic Operations Manager.
International Municipal Signal Association (IMSA) Level II Field Technician Certificate
Two years of work experience in the repair, design and installation of electro-mechanical and solid state traffic signal systems with experience in electronics and electrical systems.
Possession of a valid Driver’s License (verified for finalists)
