Signal Electrician- Journey Level

Salary $50.32 Hourly

Position Description
The Seattle Department of Transportation is seeking a Journey Level Signal Electrician to help build and maintain the largest inventory of municipal traffic signals in the State of Washington. Under the general supervision of the Traffic Signal Crew Chief, this position will install, maintain, and modify the City of Seattle's traffic signal and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) system.

Minimum Qualifications:

Three years journey-level electrical or electronic experience installing, maintaining and calibrating control or measuring devices comprised of solid state electronic or computer systems in the signal trade or an equivalent combination of related education and experience (or a combination of education and/or training and/or experience which provides an equivalent background required to perform the work of the class)..
Current Washington State driver's license with Class B or A CDL Endorsement. 
Certification as a Level II Traffic Signal Technician by the International Municipal Signal Association (IMSA) is required within 12 months of eligibility to take the examination. 
May also require appropriate crane certification as required by law.
