Traffic Control and Street Lighting Supervisor

Salary:  $76,415.00 - $102,404.00 Annually 


The City of Elk Grove Public Works Department is responsible for the overall direction and coordination of many activities and functions within the City. These responsibilities include designing, constructing, operating and maintaining the City's road network and drainage systems as well as the management of the City's solid waste (trash) and transit services.

The Public Works Department is looking for a unique individual to serve as a Traffic Control and Street Lighting Supervisor to direct, supervise, and resolve traffic signal operational problems and perform skilled maintenance duties involved in the inspection, modification, maintenance and repair of street signal systems, street lights, and their associated components.  Click Here for detailed job description.

Education/Training:
Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade supplemented by specialized training (or college level course work) in electronics or computer science, traffic engineering, traffic signal design, operation, and maintenance or a closely related field.

Experience:
Three (3) years of increasingly responsible experience in the maintenance and operations of traffic control and street lighting in a public agency, including one year of lead responsibility.

License or Certificate:
Possession of valid driver's license.
Possession of an International Municipal Signal Association (I.M.S.A) Levels I and II Traffic Signals Technician Certificate.
Possession of an International Municipal Signal Association (I.M.S.A.) Work Zone Temporary Traffic Control Safety Technician Certificate.
Possession of an International Municipal Signal Association (I.M.S.A) Level II Traffic Signal Bench Technician Certificate is highly desirable.
