The Public Works Department is currently looking for skilled individuals to join the Operations & Maintenance Division team!
Operation & Maintenance is comprised of Capital Maintenance and Operations. These two sections are responsible for the planning, construction, operation, and maintenance of roadways, sidewalks, curb-ramps, traffic signals, streetlights, signs & markings, landscaping, and drainage.
The Department is seeking candidates with experience to serve as a Traffic Control and Street Lighting Supervisor to direct, supervise, and resolve traffic signal operational problems and perform skilled maintenance duties involved in the inspection, modification, maintenance and repair of street signal systems, streetlights, and their associated components. The ideal candidate will be a results-oriented and hands-on supervisor who is knowledgeable of operations, services, and activities in the maintenance and repair of streetlights and traffic signal equipment and systems; is able to organize, implement and direct the work of others; has knowledge of occupational hazards and standard safety practices and procedures; and works to ensure traffic is safe and efficient consistent with the goals and objectives of the Public Works Department.
