The City of Rochester, MN now welcomes applications for a Traffic Signal Technician.
This individual performs skilled work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical and electronic traffic signal control devices and related systems in the Traffic Engineering Division of the Public Works Department. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, troubleshooting, repairing, modifying, and maintaining traffic signals, decorative pedestrian lighting, and holiday outlets; perform locates of underground facilities; installing and inspecting electrical equipment; and maintaining inventory, compiling records, and preparing reports.

2022 starting wage from $30.64 to $33.65 per hour with advancement to $48.29 with required years of service.
Minimum qualifications include two (2) years of college or technical school training in electrical or electronics related field and four (4) years of experience installing, troubleshooting, maintaining and/or repairing electrical or electronic equipment. A valid driver’s license and valid Minnesota Journeyman Electrician Class A license are required.
