IMSA Scholarship
IMSA is proud to offer the opportunity for qualified applicants to compete for financial resources to assist them in pursuit of higher education in the transportation public safety field.
Applications for consideration of a scholarship will be accepted by IMSA between Jan. 1 and May 31 of each calendar year. The scholarship will be awarded prior to the fall semester of the educational institution.
Who is Eligible to Apply?
All applicants must be pursuing higher education in the transportation public safety field and meet one of the following criteria:
- A current member of IMSA, in good standing for a minimum of two years as of December 31 of the year of application.
- A spouse, son, daughter, grandchild, stepchild or legally adopted child of a current member (the sponsor). The sponsor must have two years of continuous good standing membership as of December 31 of the year of application.
How Do I Apply?
To be considered for the scholarship you must complete the application below. Transcript upload will be required for anyone who is extending their educational program for another semester. Transcript can be uploaded HERE. For questions, please contact membership@imsasafety.org.
The Scholarship Committee will evaluate the following items, which will be included in your application:
- Essay. Please include your personal background indicating your goals and aspirations. Please answer: how will your course of study support your future career in public safety? The essay should be 200 – 500 words.
- Extra Curricular/Hobbies. Please describe your hobbies, interests and extra-curricular activities.
- Volunteerism. Please provide verifiable evidence of voluntary work or other public service efforts.
