IMSA Awards
criteria
Awards will be presented during the 2024 Forum & Expo in Irving, Texas.
Nominations are accepted year-round, however, the deadline for submissions is March 1.
Recipients will be notified by March 31.
The IMSA Outstanding Certification Award
The Outstanding Certification Award is given to an IMSA member based on:
1. International and/or section level volunteerism
2. Involved in running certification
3. Teaching certification
4. Promoting certification
5. Time donated related to certification
6. Maintains record keeping
7. Communication with EAC Chair and international staff
*Only IMSA members can submit a nomination
The Sustaining Member Award
The IMSA Sustaining Member Award is given to an IMSA Sustaining Member based on:
1. Presents tech sessions at international and section level
2. Company involvement on international and section level
3. Advertising in IMSA publications
4. Attendance at international and section meetings
5. Length of service and dedication to IMSA
6. Willing to work with international staff, when asked
7. Contribution to IMSA Journal magazine

The IMSA Section Award
The IMSA Section Award is given to an IMSA Section based on:
1. Percentage of new members
2. Technical meetings/special projects per year
3. Participation in certification
4. International conference attendance

The IMSA Board of Directors President’s Award
The IMSA President’s Award is given to an IMSA member based on:
1. Assistance offered to President during term of office
2. Completion of special project
3. Involvement beyond call of member
4. International Chair of committees, with many years of service
*Only IMSA International Board of Directors’ president can submit a nomination
The IMSA Outstanding Member of the International Board of Directors Award
The IMSA Outstanding Member of the International Board of Directors Award is given to a current IMSA International Board member based on:
1. Time on the Board
2. Dedication to the Board
3. Special projects, including any special committee involvement
4. Regular communication with section members
5. Lives IMSA; does not only attend the Board meetings
6. Committee Chair or committee involvement

The Outstanding Section Secretary Award
The IMSA Outstanding Section Secretary Award is given to an IMSA member based on:
1. Section duties
2. Meeting set-up
3. Certification involvement
4. Record keeping
5. Communication at international and section levels
6. Length of service

The IMSA Outstanding Member Award is given to an IMSA member based on:
1. Long-standing service
2. Dedication to IMSA
3. Volunteers when asked
4. Active in education
5. Supports international and sections

The Outstanding Volunteer Award is given to an IMSA member based on:
1. Length of service
2. Dedication to IMSA
3. Communication with international and section
4. Section and international involvement
