These three-day, hands-on programs are beneficial whether you’re building your foundation in fiber optic installation or stepping into advanced network design and management. Offered in partnership with the Fiber Optic Association, these certifications are designed to help you cultivate real-world knowledge, strengthen your credentials and stand out in the transportation public safety industry.
This 3-day hands-on training program that takes the student through the basic terminology and theory of how fiber optics systems work through the splicing and testing of fiber optic systems.
Prerequisites: IMSA online self-study fiber optic course; some experience in the field of fiber optics and communications recommended.
This fiber optic specialist certification is for technicians involved in the planning, design and management of fiber networks.
Prerequisites: Two years of field experience with fiber optics networks, including documented experience designing fiber optic networks. CFOT Certification is highly recommended.
