Robert Ung Joins McCain to Head ITS Solutions Team
Industry veteran brings over 25 years of traffic management and mobility experience
SAN DIEGO, California, September 2, 2020 McCain, Inc., a leader in the supply of Intelligent Transportation Solutions (ITS) for safety and mobility and a member of the global SWARCO family, welcomes transportation industry leader Robert Ung to lead their ITS Solutions team and continue the company’s commitment to ITS and customer satisfaction.
As Director of ITS Solutions, Ung will manage a team dedicated to providing a consistently high level of service to current and future McCain customers. Ung and his team will respond to customer needs including equipment deployment, hardware and software systems integration, troubleshooting and solution generation, training and education, and deepening customer relationships. The ITS Solutions team will also provide input on new product design, development, and functionality.
With over 25 years of traffic management industry experience with NEMA TS-1, TS-2, and Caltrans TEES product development, system integration, sales, and support, Ung will leverage his previous experience in managing technical support and project management personnel.

Ung, an active member of multiple industry groups, earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the California State Polytechnic University-Pomona and is IMSA Traffic Level III certified. In keeping with his IEEE and engineering roots, Ung also holds two utility patents issued by the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Before joining McCain, Ung worked for Rockwell International Corp. and Iteris, Inc. in various system integration, engineering, project management, and product management roles spanning over 35 years.
