The City of Thornton is seeking a Traffic Operations Supervisor who is dedicated to providing for the safe and efficient movement of people, goods, and services within the City. The position is within the Traffic Engineering and Operations Division, which maintains the City’s signs and pavement markings and maintains and operates the City’s traffic signals and streetlights.
- We need someone who is flexible, able to adapt to changing priorities, and able to manage a wide range of traffic and street light-related equipment and materials.

Job Summary:
Under general direction, plans, schedules, and supervises the functions of a division section, relating to the incident management, inventory, installation, maintenance and repair of traffic signals, streetlights, and traffic control signs and markings.
Qualifications:
For this position candidates must have
- A high school diploma or GED;
- Five or more years’ experience installing, maintaining, and repairing traffic signal and traffic control signs;
- At least one year of supervisory or lead work experience
