The Clark County Department of Public Works is seeking qualified candidates for a Traffic Systems Technician position.  This position will provide service support to the Traffic Operations Signal Unit conducting field installation, maintenance, and repair of existing traffic signals, pedestrian flashers, and school flasher facilities. 

Salary: $25.48 – $39.47 Hourly

Education and Experience:
Equivalent to graduation from high school, and successful completion of a Technician or Technologist Diploma Program, AND two (2) years of skilled full-time experience in the maintenance and repair of electronic and electrical equipment. Additional experience as outlined above may be substituted for the above education on a year-for-year basis.

Licensing and Certification: Must possess a valid Class C Nevada Driver’s License at time of appointment. Must be able to obtain a valid Class B Nevada Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) within six (6) months of date of hire. Must possess valid International Municipal Signal Association (IMSA) Level I certification as Associate Traffic Signal Technician, or agree to obtain certification within one (1) year of date of hire.

This position will require a crane operator’s certification through the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operator’s (NCCCO) within twenty-four (24) months from the date of hire.
